As a crafter there isn’t much more frustrating than potential customers thinking my prices should compete with the likes of a Wal-Mart or Target. We must clear this misconception by being clear that there is NO WAY my prices can could be competitive with mass production, it’s simply not feasible.
I am not a corporation, factory or assembly line. I am not massively creating thousands of products a day to be sold to millions of people. I am creating something specifically for you with my own two hands and precious time that is usually customized specifically to your liking.
So now that we have that cleared up let’s look into methods that may be used to generate your specific pricing.
Keep in mind customizations are just that, customed to the customer and so is pricing. Another common mistake is expecting the same price for a similar item another customer has had made. No two items or situations are alike and different things may factor into the prices like costs for materials, sizing, cost inflations and extra time to name a few.
If you are looking for a standard product be it a sewing product, jewelry, body product ect., then you can expect your pricing set similar to the method of the cost of materials x3.
If you want add-ons, changes to the way the product is usually made or any other customizations, then you should expect the price to increase to account for the extra cost of product/materials and labor.
Your price quote on customizations are an ESTIMATION ONLY because it is a never before made item, anything could be a factor like extra time spent or other materials needed.
A deposit of 90% is required up front for customizations with the remaining due upon delivery and no custom work will start or materials/products ordered until deposit is made. Upon drafting we will be clear on if there is a potential for there to be an extra cost before drawing an order and you will be notified of expected cost increases and amounts immediately. Agreements must be signed for custom work to ensure you understand what to expect from Aakasha’s Naturals and that we have your ideas correct.
Full payment up front is required for standard work.
There are no refunds however, if there is an issue with your final product then do contact me privately to see if we can resolve it as your satisfaction is goal.
Items listed on my webpage or in my store are not a limitation to the items I create or have available so if you have something you desire, please make an inquiry.
